Wedge Dress of Black "Tiles"
The dress has a squared boatneck and fluid, generous movement. It looks equally chic worn as a layered piece worn over pants or skirt. The fabric here is made of square pieces (“tiles”) of vintage black Japanese silk damasks loosely connected with a stitched grid, leaving occasional small gaps between them. One-of-a-kind.
Fabric options: Other vintage black damask variations in this technique. Any number of other fabrics. Prices will vary.
Dorothy Jacket of Sheer Ikats
A tidy and slim tunic-length jacket with a round collarless neckband and a single button. It has a horizontal seam, pockets and 3/4 length sleeves. It is shown here in a patchwork of vintage Japanese sheer black silk Ikats in a variety of small off-white geometric patterns. Underlined with black organza.
Fabric options: Other vintage silks or various modern fabrics.
